The most popular image editing program, to the point that ''shop'', ''photoshopping'' or ''shopping'' have become words for image editing in general. Image macros and other crap in [[/b/|4chan/b/]] are usually created with Photoshop, though [[Microsoft Paint]] (specifically the JPEG-capable Windows 2000/XP version) is often used as well. A common joke on /b/ is that a picture took [[Microsoft Paint#* hours in MS Paint|x hours in MS Paint]] to make. Thanks to the popularity of the [[SHOOP DA WHOOP]] meme, shops are occasionally referred to as [[shoops]].

This [[meme]] is a reply to any shopped pictures, or pictures that have an unbelievable nature about them.

It all started when a poster asked for the name and style of the anime included in the obviously shopped picture that featured several young girls sitting around a table with a sign that said "stfu dyke". Someone replied with the line "This isn't a real anime! They aren't allowed to do this. This picture is shopped, I can tell from some of the pixels and from having seen quite a few animes in my life.". People thought it was funny and the line was used many times with one or more words changed but "This picture is shopped, I can tell from some of the pixels and from having seen quite a few shops in my life." was the only one that lived on, for reasons unknown.

The meme has been adapted in many macros, such as with [[IT'S A TRAP|Admiral Ackbar]] in the form of "This is a [[:Category:Traps|trap]], I can tell...".
