The original facepalm.jpg merged with the newer Captain Picard version

The original facepalm was a partially related image macro of a man making the headsigh gesture with the text "Aw Jeez, not this shit again!" shopped on the picture. The current facepalm is an ASCII of Captain Picard performing a headsigh.

This facepalm image and ascii are used to denote disbelief at dumb comments, or exasperating things done by another poster, as if to say, "Oh God, not this again."
