Image masking tool used for illicit purposes, usually. GMasked text or mp3 files often contain CP when posted to 4chan.
At one point, around early 2006, GMasked images were posted regularly in threads asking 4channers to try and decode them. These threads could grow to giant post counts with people trying to figure out if there was CP posted (there usually was).
