During October 2012, Giygas connected to the LURKMORE IRC via an advertisement from John on a hacking website. While first told to shut up and make a channel for him and his friends, he soon became close friends with John.
Theories
The reason as to why Giygas was at a hacking forum still remains unknown, but many prominent scientists have been able to draw theories of his background.
Secret Hacker
By conclusive criteria extracted from "Is Your Son a Computer Hacker?", LURKMORE user Age suggested Giygas is actually a master hacker, and may be one to have escaped the Matrix.
The Lord
The leading theory among LURKMORE users as Giygas himself said "I replace the word god with my name."
