Terminology
Introduction
Odds are if you're reading this, you're new and you need to lurk more. Depending on how new you are to the chans, you may find some of the terms confusing.
OP
This term refers to the original poster; common usages are "OP is a fag", and "OP can't inb4".
Inb4
Translates to "in before", used when posting in a thread before something happens or something else is posted. (Examples: OP: "ITT: Post CP" "Inb4 Captain Picard")
CP
Refers to child pornography, prompts to post are usually met with cheese pizza, Captain Picard, colored pencils, and "Inb4 404".
404
If you're on a *chan and still don't know what this means, you're hopeless.
ITT
ITT translates to "In this thread". Can be used by OP to inform following posters what the topic of the thread is, or an assessment of the thread. (Example: "ITT: Faggots")
Newfag
A term used to describe a new person, someone who doesn't "get" the *chan mindset, or acts just plain stupid. Commonly misused to attack someone who's made a post that doesn't meet another's liking.
Oldfag
Describes someone who's been around for a long time.
Cancer
Anything that is ruining the *chan culture.
Doubles
A thread where the OP posts a picture of Christian Bale as American Psycho's Patrick Bateman (or some variation) pointing to the post numbers, deleting it, and reposting it again until the last two numbers are the same.

Lurk more
Reading up on important memes, terms, events, or just how you should be posting. It's what you're doing.
Memes
In-jokes of sorts accepted into the *chan culture, that continue to be used.
Moar
A variation on the word "more". It means the exact same thing.
Troll
Anyone posting with the intent of getting a rise out of fellow posters.
&
Commonly used to replace things ending in the "and" sound.
B&
The most common form of the "&" usage.
B7
An intentional typo for B& (seeing as the & and 7 characters are the same key), not in common usage.
V&
V& or Party V& (a reference to the [4chan Party Van]) has become common.
Samefag
A single person posting anonymously with the intent of making it seem there are multiple people posting.
NYPA
An acronym for "Not your personal army", often used when someone starts a thread in an attempt to instruct Anonymous to harass someone they dislike.
